Who has not seen the video Granaino Style yet?

Since a few days we have the opportunity of watching a video called "Granaino Style" in some social media. Probably if you are from Spain or if you are living in Spain, especially in Granada, you have already seen it.

The video is made humorously and has achieved more than five hundred thousand click on Youtube in only three days. Now I would like to share with you all.

It shows different words and expression very used very oftenfor the granadinos and the most important landmarks of the city, all together with the music and the style of the famous song "Gangam Style". I almost forgot!!! For people who aren't from Spain, Granaino means the name to call to the people borne in Granada.

I hope you enjoy the video and that all of you get to know a little more about Granada watching it.

It's a beautiful day and I can't see it

Today I want to show you a video that I have just seen... and it seems to me that it is a really good advertisement and for this reason I want to share with you all. It's about how words can help us to tell a message in the best manner. This is the video:

What do you think about it?

In my opinion, it's a good advertisement because it "moves the feelings" of the audience. The old man is blind and he can't see the same as you, but moreover, if he can't see something beautiful that is happening at the moment... you feel more sorry for him. Am I right?

Someday, I would like to work as a publicist, because I like to evoke emotions in other people... help them to think about things for a few minutes, which we don't put much attention to in our normal day.

Graffitis

Hi again!!! Here I am, one more time, to tell you about my adventures around the wordl!! hehehe, well, that isn't true at the moment... I am still in Granada, but I have something between hands to leave Spain soon..... at least I have hopes for this to happen... because I want to continue improving my English, travelling, discovering new cities, meeting new people... and of course to tell you everything!!!

Well, I really hope you enjoy reading the blog. I really love writing for you all, because that allows me to improve my "writing skill" a little, but the most important is that the blog also allows me to keep contact with my friends and relatives who are far away from me.

And today, I want to show them and you, one of my  hobbies, pictures of graffiti!! I like the drawings on te wall, for me it's art, and when I am walking some streets, and I see a graffiti, I take my time for taking a photograph. I have nearly to 1000 pictures of graffiti of all cities that I have visited!! Now, I want to show you, some of my favourites. Enjoy the art through my eyes!!!!

Christmas Holidays!!!

Hi followers!! I hope you all have enjoyed the Christmas Holidays. I came back to Spain a few weeks ago and I have been enjoying this time with my family and friends. I like to be in Spain.... I like the weather, to eat my mother's meals, to go out with my friends, even to see old friends or simply to be at home chilling out with my brother and my parents watching films, soccer matches or playing video games... However, I will have to leave Spain soon.... Unfortunately in Spain, I don't have any jobs opportunities, and I feel I am wasting my time, here in my house, doing nothing...  for that reason in a few days or weeks, at most, I will be, again, looking for an opportunity outside of Spain. I don't know where I will be spending the next months, but I will keep you informed!!

Now, I want to share with you all, pictures from my Christmas eve  in Granada. Enjoy it, my dear friends!!! And If you are reading this.... All my best wishes for you!!

Farewell Amelia&Bea

These are my last days in Groningen before my departure to Spain and although it's highly probable that I come back to Groningen in a few weeks, I cannot help but feel a little sad these days.

I will miss my bike and all the walks that I do with it... I will miss speaking English with my intercambio partners and my neighbors... meeting new people from all over the world at parties in our old student house, and even, doing all the housework by myself (like cooking, doing the shopping at the supermarket, doing the laundry....), because I really like to do it alone without help, I don't know why, but it makes me feel more independent.

Although the main reason of my sadness, is saying farewell to one friend, Amelia. I came back to Groningen with two of my best friends, Bea and Amelia. I wanted to improve my English level and they started an internship at Hanze University. And last Friday we had our last party together, at least for a few months, because they will be my friends for all my life no matter what and I am confident that we will continue seeing each other wherever we are.

And although my plans are to go to London to do an internship soon, I can't imagine my life in Groningen without my two best friends... luckily Bea will come back in January and I hope that  Amelia changes her mind and comes back to Groningen with us so that we can spend a few more months together.

SINTERKLAAS

Last week, on 5th of December, I was greatly surprised. My friend Renate, who I talk English&Spanish with once per week, gave me the letter "B" in chocolate!! Apparently this is very common in the Netherlands, giving and receiving letters of chocolate according to your name on the 5th of December. I really appreciated this sign of affection because it made me feel like I am taking part in the Dutch culture.

Renate told me this happens because here in the Netherlands, they celebrate Sinterklaas (an elderly man very similar to our Santa Claus in Spain), who gives presents to good children visiting their houses the night of the 5th of December, but besides that, you yourself can also show your affection to your friends or relatives, giving them a present. And one of the possibilities are these chocolate letters.

We also have this tradition in Spain. We have Santa Claus, who leaves presents in children's shoes if they have been good, the night of the 24th of December and moreover we have the three Kings, who do the same on the 5th of January, if the children have shown good behavior during the year.
